X Sold Georgian Country Oak Coffer/ Bedding Chest. (Antique Coffers,Benches & Hall Furniture)

Large George I period oak coffer dated 1724. Excellent and original country piece with a nice rich patina.

The plank lid encloses generous storage. To the front is a carved inscription "W 1724 AC" over four fielded panels.  With solid oak panelled sides, back and base.  Standing on its original stile feet.  Fully pegged construction. 

Measurements: Width 1560mm, Depth 640mm, Height 760mm.

Condition report: Excellent, solid and original. The piece has later hinges and light wear commensurate with age. A nice honest example.
